5.6. OSC mapping OSC messages can be sent to Daslight 5 via internet connection using UDP/IP and Ethernet. In order for Daslight to receive OSC messages, you will frst need to set the correct options within the OSC tab of the Settings window. You can enable OSC Input and OSC Output by clicking the relevant checkboxes. The Incoming Port will decide which port Daslight receives OSC messages from, and the Outgoing Port decides which port Daslight will return OSC messages to. You can also choose the type of OSC Output (Broadcast, Local Host or IP Address. Choosing IP Address will require you to set the relevant IP to send your OSC output to.

You can map a Daslight function to an OSC control by opening the OSC Mappings tool (found in the top right corner of your screen, or via the Mappings drop down menu) will show a dark blue overlay of assignable functions. To map a function to your keyboard, simply select the relevant function (i.e. a Scene play button, a Dimmer dial etc.), then trigger the desired OSC control to link the function. You can then access and adjust all of the mapping’s settings by selecting the shortcut from the mappings list.
