Choosing the right size Use the breed guidelines unless the patient is over- or underweight. If measurement is necessary, or the animal is between sizes, please use the following guidelines: ■ Use a soft measuring tape, measure the length of the dog’s snout from the end of the nose to the point where the snout starts to slope upwards to the eyes as shown on the drawing ■ Then, measure around the widest part of the dog’s snout while its mouth is closed
