MIPO Minimally Invasive Plate Osteosynthesis Elevator

Developed by Richard Whitelock specifically to clear soft tissues from the proximal tibia in the TPLO procedure. It is also useful as a general purpose periosteal elevator. One end acts as a curved periosteal elevator and the other end is straight.

This instrument is not so much a periosteal elevator, more a dissecting probe to clear a tunnel under muscle layers for the plate.The periosteum is, in fact, left intact.
