6. Touch Using Daslight 5’s Touch Mode, you can create a custom user interface for your light show. It can then be displayed on an external monitor or in full screen. Show mode is ideal for installations and kiosks.

6.1. Introduction to Touch Navigating the Touch screen

The layout of the Touch screen is as follows:

1. Pages : In the top left corner of the screen, you can manage diferent ‘pages’. Within each page you can create a diferent display using diferent settings and functions (for example you may want to have diferent displays for easier use with diferent display sizes, or you may want to have one page for scenes and one for faders etc). You can add a new page by pressing the “+” button. You can also right click on a page to delete, rename or duplicate it. 2. Zoom : In the top right corner of the screen, you will see the zoom controls for your user interface. You can either press the “-” button to zoom out, the “+” button to zoom in, or use the slider in between the two buttons. To the left of the “-” button you can press the ‘Zoom Fit’ button to automatically adjust the zoom to ft all controls into the UI window. 3. Hide properties : Pressing this button will hide/show the ‘Controls’ tab on the right side of the screen. 4. Edit : When highlighted green, Edit mode will be enabled. This will show the user interface in grid form. You will need to be in Edit mode to make any changes to your Touch display, and you will need Edit mode to be disabled to be able to use the controls on your Touch display. 5. Detach window : The Touch screen will detach into a new window. 6. Controls : To the right side of the screen, you will fnd 8 control options which can be used to create your user interface.
